Feast of Pentecost

HI EVERYONE

ATTACHED IS THE HYMN LIST FOR THE WEEKEND OF 05/19/24, FEAST OF PENTECOST - Cycle Year B

1. During this season of Easter, we will continue to sing the Glory to God from the Mass of Creation BB885/ 4CP132.

2. For the Psalm, we will sing PSALM 104: LORD, SEND OUT YOUR SPIRIT, AND RENEW THE FACE OF THE EARTH (LaRosa Setting). Please use the LAROSA group of copies marked "VIGIL MASS" for the 5:30 mass on Saturday and the other group for the masses on Sunday.

3. For all Pentecost weekend masses including the VIGIL MASS, we will be singing the Sequence - COME, O HOLY SPIRIT, COME found in BB38 / BB p. 167.

4. For the Gospel Acclamation for all masses this Pentecost Weekend, we will be singing from R&A p. 99 / BB p. 169 - v. 'COME, HOLY SPIRIT, FILL THE HEARTS OF YOUR FAITHFUL AND KINDLE IN THEM THE FIRE OF YOUR LOVE.' Note: The verse is exactly the same for both the Vigil and Feast Day masses.

5. For the duration of the Easter Season, we will be singing from the Mass of Creation BB885-889 or 4CP132-136. On the Lamb of God, the cantor intones, "LAMB OF GOD" and the people respond "YOU TAKE AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD".

6. For Post Communion, we will be singing a new song, 'ONE SPIRIT, ONE CHURCH'. We will go over it at rehearsal.
