HI EVERYONE
I have great news everyone. Our long awaited new RODGERS INFINITY 367 ORGAN will be coming soon. Our projected arrival date will be on June 24 - about two weeks away. It will be leaving the Rodgers factory in Hillsboro, Oregon on June 17 and boarding a train that will take it on a cross-country journey!! In the meantime, our friend Vince Seneri, Rodgers Authorized rep. and his installers headed by chief engineer, Joe Pantano, will begin wiring work as early as next week.
They estimate it will take about 10 days to get the organ fully installed and running. However, if work goes well at the initial wiring stage, this time frame might be made shorter. For the next several weeks you may see equipment lying around even though we will be doing our best to keep things as tight and safe as possible. Keep in mind that all masses, funerals and memorial services must go on as scheduled so the installers will be working around these events.
As for fundraising thank you all so much for your contributions toward defraying the costs of our new Monti Sound System as well as the cost for the additional organ speakers and misc. installation related items. Needless to say, we will also be purchasing a strong surge protector for our new organ to protect it from damage from occasional power surges.
Remember that this new organ really belongs to everyone and especially to all of us in our awesome music ministry family. Please remember to keep the installers in your prayers so that everything goes well and just as important, to offer gratitude to our wonderful and loving God who has spilled out His amazing providence toward making this dream come true for our parish.
