Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

HI EVERYONE

ATTACHED IS THE HYMN LIST FOR THE WEEKEND OF 07/28/24, SEVENTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME - Cycle Year B.

1. As we continue now in this second segment of Ordinary Time in Cycle Year B, we will once again sing the Glory to God from the Mass of Christ the Savior in BB915 / 4CP105.

2. For the Psalm, we will be using LAROSA'S Setting of PSALM 145: 'THE HAND OF THE LORD FEEDS US; HE ANSWERS ALL OUR NEEDS.' (SEE ATTACHED PDF FILE AND RECORDING). As an alternate we can use R&A p. 118 / BB p. 189.

3. For the Gospel Acclamation, we will be using Respond and Acclaim p. 119 / BB p. 189....v. 'A GREAT PROPHET HAS RISEN IN OUR MIDST. GOD HAS VISITED HIS PEOPLE.'

4. This particular weekend we will be singing from the Mass of Christ the Savior: BB918/4CP108 - BB923/ 4CP113. Note: For our Mystery of Faith we will be using, "Save Us, Savior"...BB921/4CP111. However, during this time we will begin to gradually introduce a brand new mass setting. Once we are ready to introduce the new setting we will begin with the Holy, Holy and gradually build it up to include the Mystery of Faith, the Great Amen and the Lamb of God. At that point I will send REVISED HYMN LISTS for each Sunday accordingly.

5. For ease of practice, I have attached recordings of all the music that we will be singing this particular Sunday.
